Who you are:

We are seeking a reliable Facilities Courier for a Full Time role. As a member of the facilities team, the Facilities Courier provides delivery and other ancillary services for all MACT Health Board sites. The employee is responsible for the secure and timely transport of packages, documents, and/or goods using a company vehicle, as well as assisting with facility maintenance and operational support. 

The Facilities Courier will:

• Follows safe working practices and ensures appropriate use of related safety equipment as required.
• Operates company vehicles safely and in compliance with traffic laws and package handling regulations.
• Follows assigned delivery routes and schedules to ensure timely service.
• Transports items authorized by MACT staff between clinic and administrative locations. 
• Assists with securing clinic safe contents per MACT fiscal policies and procedures.
• Inspects facilities and grounds during delivery routes to ensure that the facilities are available for use and consistently maintained in a safe and clean condition; identifies and reports hazardous conditions and maintenance needs to supervisor.
• Performs landscaping and maintenance tasks as needed.
• Supports fleet upkeep, including vehicle washing and minor repairs. 
• Assembles furniture or equipment as needed.
• Demonstrates reliability, teamwork and a proactive approach.
• Participates in special events and clinic operations as assigned. 

What you need:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• One year of experience in a delivery or route-based position.
• Ability to be approved for coverage by MACT auto insurance provider
• Strong customer service skills and basic maintenance/trade knowledge.
• Ability to lift approx. 60 lbs. and perform physical tasks (i.e., lifting and driving) for extended periods.
• Familiarity with the local area.
• Effective communication skills; punctual and dependable.
• Must pass Occupational Health Screening.
• Must possess a valid form of identification as listed on the U.S. Department of Justice I-9 form, verified using the E Verify system.
• Clean DMV driving record and MACT auto insurance driving eligibility (determined by auto insurance carrier).

The position requires an awareness and keen appreciation of American Indian traditions, customs, and socioeconomic needs and the ability at all times to meet and deal effectively in contacts with Indian health organizations which requires tact, courtesy, discretion, resourcefulness and good judgment in handling functions of a sensitive nature .
