Property Manager – Affordable Housing

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Property Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of an affordable housing community. The ideal candidate will have experience with HUD/Section 8 programs , strong leadership skills, and a background in property operations, compliance, budgeting, and resident relations.

Position is paying $38//hour with a schedule of 8am - 5pm Mon-Fri

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily property operations and supervise on-site staff.
• Maintain accurate resident, leasing, and maintenance records.
• Manage rent collection, deposits, and delinquency procedures.
• Process applications, certifications, and annual recertifications in compliance with affordable housing requirements.
• Prepare compliance reports and assist with regulatory inspections and audits.
• Develop marketing strategies to maintain strong occupancy.
• Prepare budgets and monitor financial performance and variances.
• Coordinate staff schedules and oversee employee performance.
• Oversee maintenance, property inspections, and overall physical condition of the community.
• Ensure compliance with HUD, Section 8, Fair Housing, and applicable state and federal regulations.
• Build positive relationships with residents and promote resident satisfaction and retention.
• Prepare regular reports for management and corporate leadership.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of residential property management experience; affordable housing experience strongly preferred.
• Experience with HUD/Section 8 programs.
• Knowledge of affordable housing compliance and recertification requirements.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work independently.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel.
• Property management software experience preferred.
• ARM, C3P, or other industry certifications are a plus.
