Make a meaningful impact in students’ lives by supporting their academic, emotional, and behavioral development as a School Psychologist through a rewarding contract opportunity. This full-time position, running through May 28, 2027, offers you the chance to serve elementary, middle, and high school students. Positioned near Conover, NC, your week will follow a consistent Monday to Friday schedule with 37.5 working hours.
You’ll focus on conducting re-evaluation reviews, eligibility meetings, and functional behavioral assessments, with some initial evaluations as needed. You’ll collaborate closely with educational teams and families to help create positive, effective learning environments for students across a diverse K-12 caseload.
Qualifications:
- Must hold a Master’s or Specialist degree in School Psychology or related field
- Current North Carolina School Psychologist credential, or eligibility to obtain
- Previous experience with school-based psychological assessments and interventions
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for working with teachers, staff, students, and families
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to varied caseloads (elementary, middle, and high school levels)
- Experience with functional behavioral assessments and participating in eligibility meetings is highly valued
Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough re-evaluation reviews and eligibility assessments
- Perform functional behavioral assessments and participate in behavior intervention planning
- Administer initial psychoeducational evaluations as assigned
- Attend and contribute to eligibility and IEP meetings
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support student success
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with state and district guidelines
