Pizza Cook

A pizza cook prepares pizza dough, makes sauce, and bakes pizzas. They may also prepare appetizers and sides, and handle customer orders.

Responsibilities

• Prepare dough, sauce, and toppings
• Bake pizzas according to Mastodon recipes.
• Prepare appetizers and sides according to Mastodon recipes.
• Receive and process customer orders
• Ensure quality of ingredients and toppings
• Monitor food inventory
• Clean cooking station
• Sterilize equipment
• Replace supplies each shift.

Skills and traits multitasking skills, ability to follow recipes and directions, knowledge of food safety standards, ability to provide customer service, and accuracy and professionalism in cash handling.

Other duties

• Hand pressing pizza dough
• Preparing Mastodon menu items
• Memorizing, recording, and comprehending menu items
• Maintaining a clean work area
• Ensuring product quality, quantity, appearance, and temperature
• Recommending new pizza types for the menu

Requirements

The requirements for the Sales Associate position are:

• Must be 16 years of age or older
• Must be able to successfully pass a background check and drug screen
• Must be able to speak, read, and understand English fluently and clearly
• Must be able to perform mathematical calculations at a high school level
• Must have reliable transportation and be able to arrive to work on time
• Must be able to consistently arrive at work in uniform and in compliance with appearance standards
• Must be able to stand for 4 to 9 hours per shift*
• Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs on a frequent basis and occasionally up to 50 lbs*
