General Function:  

Provide students, parents and families with efficient assistance with processing, inquiries, information and issue resolution related to cashier transactions, admissions, business office and very limited scope financial aid.

Minimum Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent and one year or more of customer service experience in an educational, office administration or clerical setting.

Preferred Qualifications: 

Associates degree or higher earned from a regionally accredited institution and one year of higher education experience in admissions, business office or financial aid. Higher education experience may be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year basis for up to two years.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provide students, parents and families with efficient assistance with processing, inquiries, information and issue resolution related to cashier transactions, admissions, business office and very limited scope financial aid.
• Assist students and parents/families with admission questions and issues including but not limited to admissions applications; high school/college transcripts; immunizations; transcript requests; proof of citizenship; state residency; test scores; and other general account information.
• Input admissions documents into Slate CRM for processing by the Admissions and Records Specialist including but not limited to high school transcripts, and ACT/SAT scores.
• Assist students and parents/families with Business Office questions and issues including but not limited to tuition/fees; past due balances; parking tickets; vehicle registration; parking passes; fee waivers/discounts; reimbursement/balance of financial aid checks;
• Assist with campus enrollment events as assigned
• Assist administrative staff for recruiting, TN promise, adult initiatives, and the division of Student Success with projects as needed.
• Coordinate scanning activities in Banner system, and disposal of received documents.
• Other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Knowledge of confidentiality statutes and policies as they apply to students, parents, families, FERPA and financial aid programs.
• Knowledge and ongoing understanding of federal, state, and institutional regulations regarding admissions, records, business office, and financial aid
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate with a wide range of individuals and constituencies.
• Strong computer skills, including but not limited to ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) system(s) (Banner), word processing, spreadsheets, e-mail, database, and internet.
