Plumbing Project Manager

A well-established Chicagoland mechanical contractor is seeking an experienced Plumbing Project Manager to join its growing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial plumbing and proven experience managing plumbing projects from preconstruction through closeout. Responsibilities Manage multiple commercial plumbing projects from start to finish Oversee estimating, scheduling, budgeting, job costing, billing, and change orders Coordinate with general contractors, owners, vendors, subcontractors, and field teams Manage manpower planning, materials, equipment, and project timelines Review drawings, specifications, RFIs, submittals, and project documentation Monitor field progress and ensure work meets project specifications and plumbing codes Communicate project status, risks, changes, and financial updates to customers and leadership Maintain strong customer relationships throughout each project Requirements 5+ years of commercial plumbing experience Proven project management experience within commercial plumbing construction Strong knowledge of commercial plumbing systems, codes, and installation methods Experience with estimating, scheduling, budgeting, job costing, and change orders Ability to read and interpret plumbing drawings and specifications Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Bluebeam QuoteSoft experience preferred Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Commercial plumbing experience and project management experience are both required.
