Location: Highland, New York

Job Description:
We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse for a 26-week correctional nursing assignment in New York. This role involves providing comprehensive nursing care within a residential juvenile justice setting while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to support patient health and safety.

Shift Details:

Night Shift - 5x8s
Schedule: 10:00 PM - 6:00 AM
40 hours per week
Specific workdays discussed during interview

Responsibilities:

Administer medications and maintain medication inventory, including controlled substances
Assess and monitor overall health conditions of patients
Develop, review, and evaluate nursing intervention plans
Ensure nursing interventions align with treatment plans
Maintain infection control standards and protocols
Prepare clinical and administrative documentation and reports
Participate in staff meetings and training sessions
Collaborate with the medical treatment team to support patient care

Requirements:

Active New York State RN license required
Correctional or behavioral health experience preferred
Strong assessment, documentation, and communication skills
Ability to work effectively in a structured team environment
