Yard worker

**Location: Sumner, Washington** **Pay: $27.50 - $30.00 DOE** **Job Type:** Full-Time ** About the Role** We are seeking a safety-focused **Driver I (Yard Driver)** to support our warehouse and yard operations. This position is responsible for moving trailers and containers within our facility and, if qualified, between locations. This is a **safety-sensitive role** requiring attention to detail and a commitment to safe work practices. ** Key Responsibilities** + Operate a yard tractor to move trailers/containers within the facility + Transport trailers between facilities (if holding a valid Class A CDL) + Perform pre- and post-trip inspections (tires, brakes, lights, fuel, etc.) + Assist with loading and unloading trucks as needed + Follow dispatch instructions using RF systems and yard management tools + Coordinate with yard controllers to optimize equipment turn times + Direct outside drivers and ensure adherence to yard safety procedures + Maintain yard organization and safe driving practices + Ensure trailers are properly secured (wheel chocking, door positioning) ** Qualifications** + High school diploma or GED required + 1+ year of experience operating a yard tractor or tractor-trailer + Class A CDL (preferred for on-road transport duties) + Ability to follow instructions, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines + Strong teamwork and communication skills + Reliable attendance and professionalism ** What We Offer** + Opportunity to work with a global logistics leader + Safe and supportive work environment + Career growth within a large international organization If this is a role that interests you and you'd like to learn more, click apply now and a recruiter will be in touch with you to discuss this great opportunity.
