Join us as a **Controls Engineer II.****Location Type:** The is an onsite role based in Nashville, Tennessee.**What We Offer:*** Competitive wages, medical benefits starting your first day, and paid parental leave* Opportunity to work on unique, custom automation projects* A collaborative, engineering-driven environment* Career growth and skill development opportunities* A role where craftsmanship and quality truly matter**How You’ll Make an Impact :*** Design, implement and document control systems for various types of automated equipment.* Conduct the electrical/hydraulic pneumatic design, peripheral device programming, machine PLC programming, coordinate the machine debug, power-up, and machine validation with the appropriate build and electrical teams.* Ensure that equipment is designed and programmed to customer and/or JR Automation build specifications using standard techniques and approach.**Note:**This list of responsibilities is by no means inclusive; however, it is intended to be a guideline for activities.**What You’ll Bring:*** Bachelor’s degree from 4-year College or university in related engineering field, or equivalent experience, calculated as two (2) years of relevant work experience for each year of academic study.* At least 3 years of related experience and/or training* Exposure to industry, an equivalent combination of education or experience.* Experience with PLC's, HMI, Robot, AutoCAD, Motion Control, Pneumatics, Hydraulics, and/or Vision Systems* Current or prior JR Automation experience, or experience in the automation industry is strongly preferred* Travel to customer sites for installation and startup of equipment; up to 25% travel expected yearly.Disclaimer: *JR Automation requires candidates to successfully complete a 10-panel drug screen, physical examination, and background check.***Company Overview**At **JR Automation, A Hitachi Group Company**, we discover potential, reimagine limits, and advance industry.
