Senior Financial Analyst

Job TitleSupport the end-to-end financial planning, controls, and reporting for the implementation of a new TPA-administered claims platform. Partner with Finance, Actuarial, Claims Operations, IT and the TPA to design and validate financial data flows, ensure accuracy of claims and accruals, establish controls, and enable timely, insightful reporting. Own financial readiness, cutover validation, and post-go-live performance monitoring Perform other duties as assigned.Key AccountabilitiesLead financial data validation for new TPA claims platform migrationDetailed attribute testing of data and reports in collaboration with other departmentsImplement and maintain claims data quality by collecting, monitoring, and creating financial models to support strategic decision-makingBuild and execute month-end reconciliation routinesDevelop and document processes and procedures to analyze results, monitor variances and identify trendsTranslate business requirements into financial and reporting requirements (e.g., ledger impacts, subledger mapping, accrual logic)Audit and regulatory filing support for internal and external auditorsSpecial projects & ad hoc reportingRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related field5 years of work experience beyond the degreePreferred QualificationsHealth Insurance industry experience with a working knowledge of claims processesExperience with data quality checks in cross-functional implementations with clients/TPAs, including stakeholder management with Finance, Actuarial, Claims Operations, IT, Compliance and TreasuryAdvanced Microsoft Excel - excellent analytical and quantitative skillsAbility to analyze financial data and generate reportsExperience with internal and external audits, including GAAP knowledgeAttention to detail, ensuring accuracy in financial reportingCritical thinking with advanced problem-solving skills in a fast-paced environmentManaging multiple tasks and deadlines efficientlyCommunicate effectively and professionallyKnowledge of Microsoft SuiteThis position is an Office role, which requires an employee to work onsite, on average, 3 days per week. We are open to candidates located near one of the following office locations: Minnetonka, MN or Madison, WI.The full salary grade for this position is $70,200 - $120,400. While the full salary grade is provided, the typical hiring salary range for this role is expected to be between $70,200 - $105,315. Annual salary range placement will depend on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, education, work experience, applicable certifications and/or licensure, the position's scope and responsibility, internal pay equity and external market salary data.
