Job Title: Registered Nurse - Labor & Delivery/Postpartum Profession: RN Specialty: Labor & Delivery/Postpartum Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12-hour Day Shift Hours per Shift: 36 Experience: Minimum of 2 years of LDRP experience (RN); 2 years of Surgical Tech experience specific to OB License: RN license required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, EFM, NRP for RN; BLS required for Surgical Tech, national certification preferred but not required Must-Have: Experience with all aspects of LDRP patient care Circulating c-sections experience Experience with newborn care including heel sticks, 24-hour testing, NAS scoring, and lactation support Skills to assist in vaginal and cesarean delivery Decontamination/Sterilization experience for Surgical Tech Description: Seeking a skilled Registered Nurse for Labor & Delivery/Postpartum. The facility has 44 licensed beds with an average census of 8. The patient population includes LDRP and GYN surgical patients. The RN: patient ratio will follow AWHONN guidelines. Support staff includes a CNA per shift and a reception unit secretary. Charge nurse and case management support are available 24/7. OB physicians and a pediatrician are on-site 24/7. Lactation consultants will provide additional support. No remote telemonitoring is available. The EMR system in use is EPIC. Equipment includes Alaris IV pumps, Omnicell med dispensing, and Philips fetal monitors. Floating to other facilities within the region may be required based on needs. Weekend rotation is expected every other week. Travelers will work 75% of holidays. Requests for time off up to 6 days will be considered, excluding holidays. Shift times are scheduled to be from 7 AM to 7 PM, with a cycle every 6 weeks. Scrub color is navy blue or business casual to/from work; hospital-issued scrubs are provided while on duty.
