On-Call: 24 40 hours per four-week scheduling period

Call dates are self-assigned through a randomized scheduling process.
A leading healthcare facility in Austell, Georgia, is seeking an experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse to provide safe, high-quality perioperative care. The OR RN will collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, surgical technologists, and other clinical professionals throughout the perioperative process.
Clinicians must be comfortable floating among various surgical specialties based on departmental needs.
Key Responsibilities-
Circulate during general surgery and other surgical procedures.

Complete perioperative assessments and individualized care plans.

Verify patient identity, procedure, surgical site, consent, and documentation.

Maintain sterile technique and follow infection-prevention standards.

Prepare operating rooms, equipment, medications, and surgical supplies.

Complete and document surgical counts with the perioperative team.

Monitor patient safety and respond promptly to changes or emergencies.

Coordinate care with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and clinical staff.

Maintain complete, accurate, and timely clinical documentation.

Participate in assigned call coverage and float among surgical specialties.

Follow all facility policies, regulatory requirements, and safety standards.

Active Georgia or multistate Compact RN license

Current BLS certification
-
Associate Degree or Diploma in Nursing required; BSN preferred

Three to five years of recent Operating Room experience required

Strong OR circulating experience

General surgery experience preferred

Ability to float among various surgical specialties

Excellent communication, critical-thinking, and time-management skills
-
Ability to function effectively in a fast-paced surgical environment
