As a Security Officer Retail Patrol in Valencia, CA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy retail location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. In this role, you will support a welcoming environment while working with a team that values being agile, reliable, innovative, caring, and always acting with integrity.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to visitors, tenants, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a retail location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting activity and communicating with management and/or local responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location, including common areas, storefront corridors, parking areas, and perimeter access points, helping to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
• Monitor entrances, exits, and high-traffic areas for unusual behavior, access concerns, and/or operational issues, then report observations according to site protocols.
• Assist with closing procedures, after-hours checks, and/or customer assistance requests while maintaining a visible presence throughout the location.

Minimum Requirements:

• Ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.
• A guard card/license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
