Description Job Description Estimator for Precision Manufacturing Provides technical support for gas delivery components for both standard and custom applications. Perform cost-estimating effective functions. Requirements Functions & Responsibilities Reviews blueprints, plans, and other customer documents to develop and prepare quotations or projected increases in production from customers’ use of proposed equipment or services Draws up or proposes changes in equipment, processes, or use of materials or services which would result in cost reduction or improvement in operations Provides technical services to clients relating to use, operation, and maintenance of components. Interface effectively with engineering, planning, and manufacturing departments on various issues concerning product specifications Work with current suppliers and develop new outsource partners as needed to reduce costs of purchased goods Develop cost analysis once product ships to determine if projected goals have been met Utilize company software and other means to develop costs, product structure and routings to ensure manufacturability Interfaces directly with customers providing pre- and post-sales support. Has knowledge and understanding of semi-conductor, vacuum industry standards, practices, applications and requirements Has knowledge and understanding of basic fabrication practices (machining & welding) Reviews blueprints, plans, and other customer input to develop and prepare quotations. Interfaces with engineering and manufacturing propose changes in equipment, processes, or use of materials or services which result in cost reduction and/or operational improvement. Helps to develop quoting process standards and coordinates validation of outcome once jobs are closed. Provides technical services to clients relating to use, operation, and maintenance of components. Manage projects, providing directions to engineering, planning, and manufacturing departments on issues concerning product specifications. Interfaces with suppliers and develops new sourcing partners as needed to reduce costs of purchased goods. Develops cost analysis once product ships to determine projected goals have been met Utilize company software and other means to develop costs, product structure and routings to ensure manufacturability Develop technical documentation as needed in support of catalog, web and technical manual publications. Attend trade shows as required. Propose manufacturing process, material size, and/or outside process to reduce cost and improve lead time Work directly with engineering, planning, production, sales, and finance Cost analysis, reconciliation of estimated cost to actual cost Utilize company software to develop costs, product structure, and routings Develop technical documentation as needed in support of catalog, web, and technical manual publications Understand statement of work provided by the customer and ensure quote abides by these specifications Write a statement of work documents and understand deviations/exceptions Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in business management or related discipline, or a combination of education and related work experience 5-7 years of experience in handling the responsibilities outlined above. Microsoft Office skills are mandatory. Must be good with Excel, Word, PowerPoint Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics AX beneficial in the candidate selection process is preferred Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
