Contract | 13-Week Travel Assignment | Full-Time | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | Projected Start: November 2026

Key Responsibilities

• Provides routine and complex nursing care utilizing the nursing process — including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation — for assigned Labor & Delivery/LDRP patients.
• Administers medications and treatments per appropriate protocol; monitors for side effects and effectiveness of prescribed treatment plans.
• Addresses complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families in accordance with scope of practice.
• Documents patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided accurately and in a timely manner.
• Assesses learning needs and provides education to patients, family members, and/or caregivers; identifies issues and available resources.
• Makes appropriate assignments and delegates to other care providers as needed to effectively manage clinical situations; participates in on-call and floating requirements as assigned.

Required Qualifications

• Current New Mexico RN license or current Compact state RN license required.
• Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) required.
• Current ACLS certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) required.
• Current NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification required.
• Current AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Heart Monitoring (FHM) certification required — accepted credentials include: AWHONN Intermediate FHM, AWHONN Intermediate FHM Instructor, AWHONN Advanced FHM Instructor, AWHONN Instructor Trainer, or NCC Electronic Fetal Monitoring (C-EFM).
• Current STABLE certification required (Post-resuscitation/Pre-transport Stabilization Care of Sick Infants) — accepted as Participant, Lead Instructor, or Support Instructor.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in Labor & Delivery or a related perinatal nursing specialty.
• Willingness to meet weekend, on-call, and floating requirements as part of the position.

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Perinatal RN Residency completion or recent practice in a perinatal setting preferred.
• Experience managing increasingly complex clinical situations with the ability to plan and work toward long-range patient care goals.
