Product Designer II (Health)

WHOOP empowers members with a deeper understanding of their bodies and daily lives, turning data like sleep, recovery, and strain, alongside clinician-reviewed insights from our Advanced Labs offering, into guidance that helps them live better, not just longer.As a Product Designer II on WHOOP’s Health Team, you will help answer some of the hardest questions at the intersection of wellness and healthcare. This is a design role that will be expected to flex between new product initiatives and improving existing features. At WHOOP we’re rethinking how healthcare is experienced, moving beyond traditional, reactive models towards care experiences that are increasingly accessible, integrated, continuous, and proactive.You’ll collaborate closely with designers and a strong network of cross-functional partners to tackle problems that have historically taken years to solve in healthcare and bring them to life in months.Working alongside product, engineering, and digital health teams, you’ll help create entirely new ways for members to interact with their health data and the broader healthcare system. This is an opportunity to take on ambitious, foundational work with the support of an experienced team as you explore how to help members manage their health in ways that were previously unthinkable.In doing so, you’ll contribute to WHOOP’s vision of becoming the world’s first health operating system: A system that surfaces hidden biological disruptions, predicts them before they become crises, and enables timely intervention to reduce risk and deliver care.RESPONSIBILITIES:Contribute to the design of mobile experiences for WHOOP, demonstrating knowledge of iOS and Android design best practices to deliver intuitive, high-quality, and platform-native interfacesPrioritize and respond to fast-evolving health initiatives with a flexible, experiment-oriented mindset, executing rapidly while upholding a high bar for qualityCollaborate closely with product managers, engineers, marketers, and other designers to craft thoughtful, compelling solutions rooted in both data and creativityStay attuned to customer behavior and needs by running user testing and leveraging insights to inform design improvementsConduct A/B testing to explore new ideas, validate user experience designs, and promote a culture of continuous learning and innovationThink in systems, drive ideas from concept to execution, advocate for your perspective, and shape solutions where no clear precedents existUtilize a diverse array of traditional design techniques, while embracing AI workflows to accelerate iteration, expand creative exploration, and effectively communicate your vision to both team members and stakeholdersQUALIFICATIONS:A compelling portfolio showcasing mobile app designs, particularly in health, wellness, or fitness, with an emphasis on direct contributions and measurable impactDeep expertise with modern design tools and workflows, including Figma auto-layout, variables, and libraries, with an eagerness to evolve alongside a rapidly changing landscape and adopt new tools that enhance executionDemonstrated bias for action, with a focus on speed, iteration, and clear communication in a fast-paced product environmentExceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to clearly articulate design rationale, align stakeholders, and drive momentum around shared goalsDemonstrated experience leveraging AI tools in day-to-day design workflows to accelerate iteration and execution, while maintaining a high bar for quality in all outputsStrong understanding of iOS and Android design patterns, with the ability to create platform-native experiences while maintaining consistency across systemsStrong writing skills, with the ability to use language as a design tool to clarify complex concepts, guide user behavior, and elevate the overall product experiencePassion for health and fitness, with a drive to help people better understand their bodies and live healthier lives.Extra Credit: Experience in a creative agency, with a high bar for visual craft in digital products, including typography, color, layout, and interaction designThis role is based in the WHOOP office located in Boston, MA. Salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within each range, individual pay is based on factors such as job-related skills, experience, performance, and relevant education or training. In addition to the base salary, the successful candidate will also receive benefits and a generous equity package.These ranges may be modified in the future to reflect evolving market conditions and organizational needs. While most offers will typically fall toward the starting point of the range, total compensation will depend on the candidate’s specific qualifications, expertise, and alignment with the role’s requirements.
