Salary:
$15.15 per hour

Summary of Function:
The Student Life Operations Assistant serves students by providing daily administrative and operational support to the Offices of Student Engagement & Events International Student Services Residential Life and Student Conduct within the Student Life Division (Dean of Students). This role is essential to the effective functioning of these offices maintaining a high level of confidentiality while delivering exceptional support to students staff and campus partners. The Student Life Operations Assistant also serves as a key resource by providing accurate information coordinating office services and contributing to a welcoming and efficient environment for the Student Life community.

Typical Duties:

• Serves Students. Provides administrative and operational support to the offices under the Student Life organizational chart. Support includes but is not limited to documentation management answering telephones calendar management copying filing distribution of mail running errands facility work orders and updating bulletin boards and office resources.
  
• Supports Student Engagement & Events by assisting in the planning promotion and implementation of campus programs activities and events; coordinates event logistics room/space reservations supply inventory and set-up/breakdown.
  
• Supports International Student Services by assisting with new international student intake and documentation processing orientation logistics and cultural programming; serves as a welcoming point of contact for international students.
  
• Supports Residential Life operations including check-in/check-out procedures key and equipment check-out resident inventory and coordination with Residential Life staff on facility needs and resident concerns.
  
• Supports the design and maintenance of electronic filing programs and record-keeping schedules across the offices. Maintains confidential records in accordance with state and federal regulations.
  
• In collaboration with Student Engagement & Events International Student Services and Residential Life leadership updates websites and social media outlets and requests marketing materials to promote programs and services across all assigned areas.
  
• Support and participate in strategic planning initiatives and perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or Equivalency
  
• Two years of customer service experience
  
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred but not required; language proficiency must be demonstrated onapplication materials
  
• An equivalent combination of education and/or experience from which comparable knowledge skills andabilities have been achieved may be considered

Additional Eligibility Requirements:

• Arizona Drivers License or Equivalent

• Part-time
  
• Up to 19 hours per week
  
• Work flexible schedule to meet the program department and/or institutional needs which may include
  Fridays nights and/or weekends

• Skill in coordinating logistics for programs events and services
  
• Skill in maintaining accurate records and inventories
  
• Ability to complete all departmental and/or institutional mandatory training or development

  detail
  
• Ability to work independently and contribute to a collaborative team environment

Work Environment:

• Inside office environment with normal noise and lighting levels
  
• Work is performed in an open office environment with staff students and community contact and interruptions
  
• Working environment may include various locations across the service district with varying noise levels indoor
  and/or outdoor locations as needed to support program department or institutional needs
  
• Must be able to perform duties in a variety of weather conditions
  
• Indoor athletic venues and locations for athletic events such as practice and games possible high noise level
  
• Outdoor athletic venues and locations for athletic events such as practice and games subject to different
  weather and possible high noise level

Physical Demands:

• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
  
• Prolonged periods of standing and/or walking
  
• May lift carry push and/or pull at times a minimum of 10 pounds
  
• Occasionally stoop bend kneel crouch reach and/or twist
  
• Safely and appropriately operate golf carts or district vehicles
  
• Must be able to navigate various departments of the organizations physical premises

Travel:

• May be required to travel to other locations using various modes of private commercial or fleet transportation and as needed to support program department and institutional needs
