Located in Lexington, Kentucky, The Ridge offers a healing environment to reassure patients' sense of security and confidentiality. Dedicated to excellence, The Ridge is accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations, as a licensed, 110-bed hospital, providing psychiatric (mental health) and substance use disorder (drug and alcohol rehabilitation) services to children, adolescents and adults. Inpatient care is provided on a 24-hour basis, seven days a week. Outpatient and partial hospitalization services are provided on a five-day per week basis, days and evenings. Care is provided according to an established code of ethical conduct and strict adherence to patient rights.
Position Summary: The Registered Nurse provides professional nursing care to patients and assists with patient admissions and discharges. The Registered Nurse follows and abides by company policies, procedures, and Corporate Compliance Programs, and performs other duties as assigned.
Job Duties include: Provides in person support for admissions and discharges in the facility. Responsible for assisting the Unit Registered Nurses with processing new admissions including but not limited to new admission paperwork and skin assessments. Uses appropriate counseling skills by de-escalating aggression, using active listening skills, using appropriate tone and volume of voice, providing a high frequency and variety of positive reinforcements, maintaining appropriate boundaries, and promoting a positive peer culture.
