Teamwork is essential to the firm’s success, and creativity and new ideas are encouraged.Houlihan Lokey’s Technology Group is the No. 1 technology advisor globally based on number of transactions.Job DescriptionAs an Associate, you will:Work with senior professionals covering Software and Digital Media clientsLearn about a range of end-markets: supply chain software, proptech, education technology, HCM software, semiconductors, sports tech, etc.Support teams working on M&A as well as equity / debt capital raisesResearch economic and industry-specific developmentsAnalyze financial statements and other investment attributes of publicly traded as well as private companiesHelp prepare marketing materials and other presentationsBuild relationships with clients and prospective clientsSupervise and mentor junior staffQualifications The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:Strong academic track record, with a background in finance, accounting, business or economics3-4 years of investment banking experience (technology coverage preferred)Solid understanding of the entire sell-side M&A process, along with proven experience in successfully closing dealsAdvanced financial modeling and analytical abilities, as well as a deep understanding of financial statementsAdvanced knowledge of Excel and PowerPointExcellent verbal and written communication skillsA high degree of intellectual curiosity and a desire to never stop learningKeen attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in work productAbility to manage rapid timelines and proactively manage any potential conflictsAbility to exercise sound judgment, make informed decisions, and act independentlyComfort presenting to and engaging with senior colleagues, clients, and counterpartiesCommitment to the firm and our clients Compensation and BenefitsHoulihan Lokey is committed to providing its employees with an exciting career opportunity and competitive total compensation package, which may include other components such as discretionary incentive compensation.
