Non-Clinical - Information Technology - Analyst

Job Summary:
Supports accurate medication charging, billing, and reimbursement processes across outpatient hospital departments, ensuring compliance with industry regulations. Acts as a key liaison between pharmacy operations, revenue cycle, and compliance teams to optimize revenue integrity and minimize compliance risks.

Responsibilities:

• Review and reconcile medication charges in outpatient encounters, including observation, infusion, surgery, and emergency departments.
• Validate NDC-to-HCPCS mapping, billable units, and appropriate modifiers according to CMS and payer guidelines.
• Ensure adherence to pricing policies such as 340B, GPO, and WAC, collaborating with program integrity teams for audit readiness.
• Assist in internal and external audits by maintaining accurate documentation of charge capture and billing processes.
• Identify and correct charge capture errors prior to claim submission to ensure clean, compliant claims.
• Collaborate with revenue integrity, HIM, and pharmacy teams to maintain and update the Charge Description Master and Medication Record Master File.

Qualifications:

• Require a current State Pharmacy Technician license (CA, OR, or HI).
• Possess pharmaceutical technician certification; advanced certifications such as CHRI, CRCR, or 340B ACE are preferred.
• Have a minimum of two years recent experience in hospital or health system pharmacy, revenue integrity, billing, or compliance.
• Demonstrate proficiency with EMR/billing systems like Epic Resolute, Cerner Revenue Cycle, or similar.
• Show experience with medication charge review in outpatient settings, with IV compounding expertise within the last year.
• Hold current BLS certification and, if applicable, a current nursing license per the state of assignment.
