About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Float Pool Profession: Nursing Specialty: Acute Care - Critical Care Duration: 22-26 weeks Shift: Full-Time Days Hours per Shift: 12 hours (7:00 AM - 7:30 PM) Experience: Minimum 1 year in MedSurg/Tele/Critical Care Units License: Currently licensed as a registered professional nurse Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS required Must-Have: - Must be cross-trained for multiple units (med/surg, ICU, ER) - Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) - Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with discretion - Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills Description: The position involves working 3x12 day shifts with weekend and holiday rotations. Must be comfortable floating to ICU, ER, MedSurg, and MST units. Basic Coronary Care certification is required within six months of hire. CPI certification must be obtained within 90 days of hire. Experience with electronic medical records is preferred. Customer focus is essential, demonstrating professionalism and effective communication. The staff member must provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served. Knowledge of growth and development principles across the lifespan is necessary. Ability to assess and interpret data reflective of patient status is required. Care must be tailored to meet the needs of pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patient groups. Enhancing teamwork and managing multiple priorities effectively is vital.
