Day in the Life: Bakery Production Equipment Operator

Location: Vineland, NJ 08360 | Company: Bridor USA

Imagine starting your shift by checking the day’s production plan in our ERP/MRP system, reviewing ingredient needs, and preparing your workstation. You verify food safety controls, calibrate scales, and ready mixers and line equipment. With your team, you weigh and batch ingredients to exact specifications, blend according to standard formulas, and set up machinery for an efficient, quality-focused run.

As dough moves through the process, you monitor parameters, make on-the-fly adjustments, and confirm consistency against targets. You keep the area clean and organized, document activities, and collaborate on continuous improvement ideas that make the next run even better.

• Execute batching: accurately measure and weigh ingredients
• Mix and blend to formula; verify specs and quality standards
• Set up, calibrate, and operate production equipment
• Use ERP/MRP to track inventory, schedule work, and record production
• Monitor processes to meet quality, consistency, and performance goals
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized workspace
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives

• Experience in food and beverage manufacturing or a similar production setting
• Working knowledge of food safety and quality assurance practices
• Hands-on skill with measuring, weighing, and ingredient prep
• Familiarity with mixing, blending, or batching processes
• Comfort with ERP/MRP systems (or the ability to learn quickly)
• Capability to set up and run production machinery
• Detail orientation, ownership mindset, and strong communication
• Proficiency areas: troubleshooting, food/beverage manufacturing, pasteurization process exposure, machine setups for production runs
