CT Technologist

The CT Technologist performs computerized Tomography procedures, including invasive procedures. The Machine is a Toshiba Aquilon 64 slice scanner. The CT Technologist positions and instructs the patient and operates various specialized equipment. They determine the technical factors for exposure and ensure correct marking and labeling of all films. The CT Technologist consistently provides safe, quality patient care. They are also required to take call. Moderate to heavy physical effort is required. Must apply proper body mechanics to safely transport patients and equipment. Ability to lift 40 pounds from the floor to a wheelchair or waist. Ability to move 40 pounds a distance of six feet. Ability to reach overhead while holding 25 pounds. Ability to lift 40 pounds from wheelchair to bed level. Ability to pull 40 pounds from stretcher to bed. Ability to push a 150-pound loaded stretcher a distance of 300 feet. Requires good stamina, flexibility, and good manual dexterity. Motor skills are necessary to operate delicate equipment. Requires computer skills. Demonstrates accurate judgment and decision-making ability consistent with radiology knowledge and skills. Provides quality customer service and patient care using standard radiology technology in accordance with established policies and procedures.
