While the posting is open for applications, we may not be actively filling this roll.A Mortgage Loan Originator at Premium Mortgage is an outside sales Position that solicits potential borrowers and assists them in choosing the correct product as well as completing and processing the loan application.The Mortgage Loan Originator will be responsible for completing the following job duties. This job description reflects management's assignment of essential functions; and nothing in this herein restricts management's right to assign or reassign duties and responsibilities to this job at any time.Assists the borrower in determining the proper loan programAssists the borrower in completing the loan application and gathering the necessary paperwork, including pay stubs, tax returns and bank statements, to begin the loan processObtains and analyzes a credit report on the borrowerUpdate job knowledge on types of loans and other financial servicesOperate in compliance with laws and regulations and adhere to lending compliance guidelinesPerforms other clerical duties as assignedThe following qualifications are required of the Mortgage Loan Originator.Education:Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business preferredExperience:Previous experience in the mortgage industry with understanding of loan origination and processingSkills:Customer service skillsTime management skillsWritten communication skillsVerbal communication skillsTeam playerMulti-taskingDetail orientatedOrganizational skillsProblem solving skillsIndependent JudgementThe following equipment is used daily by the Mortgage Loan Originator and provided by Premium Mortgage.ComputerPhonePrinter/copier/fax machineExcel and word programsEncompass softwareThe Mortgage Loan Originator is primarily in an office setting and may be exposed to outdoor conditions.The working conditions are classified as sedentary work:Sedentary work - Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body.
