Operations Lead

Step inside a growing agency to run the systems, processes, and daily rhythm that turn a founder's vision into momentum.

We're a Charlotte, NC based agency and a hands-on partner for small to medium sized businesses, covering project management, operations, creative, and technical execution. We're looking for an experienced Operations Lead to embed inside a client agency on a part-time contract basis, with the potential to grow into a larger or full-time engagement.This role is for someone who can step into a growing agency, quickly understand the founder's goals, systems, and daily operations, and start building structure and momentum with minimal handholding.We work with sophisticated, high-touch clients, so we're looking for someone who combines strong operational fundamentals with excellent judgment, calm leadership, and a systems-thinking mindset.

What you’ll do

• Embed directly inside a client agency and lead their internal operations as a trusted partner to the founder.
• Translate the founder's big-picture goals into clear, actionable plans, then run the systems, processes, and people that bring them to life.
• Direct daily operations, align execution with the agency's goals, and drive efficiency and momentum.
• Build and optimize systems and processes that reduce friction and scale as the agency grows.
• Leverage automation and AI to streamline execution and take repetitive work off the team.
• Drive team accountability, making sure internal and external deliverables land with clarity, consistency, and ownership.
• Spot what's broken before anyone flags it, and build the structure that gets the founder back in their zone of genius.
• Lead strategic and capacity planning so the right work lands on the right people at the right time.

What you bring

• 5+ years leading operations in a digital marketing, advertising, or creative agency, in a remote, fast-paced setting.
• Confident leadership and clear communication that supports both teams and founders across competing priorities.
• Exceptional organization, judgment, and ownership. You can prioritize, execute, and lead without constant direction.
• Fluency with modern tools, automations, and AI-driven solutions that improve how operations run.
• Sharp problem-solving and the ability to build structured, systemized solutions in complex, evolving environments.
• A steady, consistent presence. You show up a little every day and stay reachable during business hours, rather than working in narrow windows.

Nice to have

• Experience inside a Visionary or founder-led agency (EOS or Traction background a plus)
• Familiarity with ClickUp or a comparable operations platform
• Experience with automation tools (Zapier or similar)
• This is a contract engagement beginning with fractional, part-time project management support. There is strong potential for ongoing retainer work or expanded hours for the right person.
• Role: Embedded operations leadership for one client agency to start, averaging part-time hours, with potential for more.
• Availability: Must be available to support U.S. business hours, with light daily engagement rather than a few concentrated days.
