Job Summary: Water Damage General Laborer

We are seeking a motivated and dependable Entry-Level Water Damage General Laborer. In this role, you will assist with water damage cleanup, structural drying, demolition, and site preparation under the supervision of experienced technicians. This is a hands-on position ideal for individuals who enjoy physical work, learning new skills, and working in fast-paced environments.  There is room for growth in this position to learn skilled trades.  Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in water extraction using pumps, vacuums, and other equipment
• Remove damaged materials such as drywall, flooring, and insulation
• Set up and monitor drying equipment (air movers, dehumidifiers, etc.)
• Clean and disinfect areas to prevent mold growth
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of job sites
• Safely handle and dispose of contaminated materials
• Follow safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE)
• Document work progress, including taking photos and logging equipment used
• Provide excellent customer service and maintain a professional appearance
• Support lead technicians and supervisors with various restoration tasks
• Participate in on-the-job training and safety briefings

Qualifications:

• No prior experience required – training provided
• Must have flexible schedule and able to be on in emergency situations
• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform physically demanding tasks
• Comfortable working in confined spaces, wet or dirty environments
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends or overtime if needed
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record is required
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and positive attitude

Location: Ft Myers, FL

Position Type: Full time

Pay:   $18.00-$19.00

Schedule: 8am-5 Some days will be longer and emergencies may come up
