Custodian (Extra Help Only)Mariposa County Public Works is hiring for Custodian (Extra Help Only). Only online applications are accepted.To perform general cleaning and custodial functions for assigned County buildings and facilities; and to perform related duties and responsibilities as required. Receives supervision from the Supervising Custodian.Examples of DutiesExamples of essential functions include sweeping and mopping rooms, hallways and stairways; vacuuming and shampooing rugs and carpets. Dusting and polishing desks, counter tops and furniture. Cleaning windows and window blinds. Cleaning mirrors, drinking fountains, and exteriors of refrigerators. Cleaning offices, restrooms and fixtures; may clean and disinfect patient care areas following established procedures. Emptying waste containers; may use trucks in collecting and transporting trash. Restocking cleaning supplies as needed. Pushing or lifting furniture and other heavy items; climbing ladders, and performing other tasks requiring physical agility. Performing all duties in compliance with policies, procedures, regulations and established standards of quality and safety.Minimum QualificationsOne year of full-time equivalent custodial or building maintenance experience. High school diploma or GED equivalent. Possession of a valid California driver's license. Under certain circumstances, the Human Resources Director may accept a valid driver's license from another state if applicant acknowledges his/her intent to acquire a California driver's license within three months by signing an acknowledgement form.
