Job Title: RN Profession: Nursing Specialty: Emergency Department Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years in Emergency Department License: Registered Nurse License Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS Must-Have Skills/Experience: Minimum 2 years Emergency Department experience Description: Orientation is bi-weekly. ASAP start date. The facility has 294 beds and is Joint Commission Accredited. The department specializes in cancer care, cardiac care, orthopedics, imaging, surgical services, and more. The facility is located 45 miles east of a major city and 2 hours from the coast. It is 1 hour from major universities. The location is a 15-minute drive to a local lake. The community is home to the historic stadium. Meditech experience is preferred. The department has 26 beds. Patient ratios are 1:4-5, flexible depending on acuity. Equipment includes GE Monitors and standard Emergency Department equipment. The Electronic Health Record system used is Meditech. The supervisor is the designated point of contact for this unit. The patient population includes all age groups. Common diagnoses and treatments in the department include respiratory distress, overdose, CHF, dialysis, and hypertension. The ideal candidate will be a team player with an engaged and positive attitude. The required education is an Associate's degree in Nursing. Scrub color is any. Unacceptable attire includes non-scrub clothing.
