Registered Nurse – Labor and Delivery

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights | Onsite | Shift start times: 6:45 AM / 6:45 PM | Every other weekend required | Holiday rotation with permanent staff

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to Labor and Delivery patients ranging from routine to high-risk OB, including antepartum patients requiring extended stays prior to delivery or discharge
• Monitor and interpret fetal heart monitoring using the OB Trace FHM system in accordance with AWHONN staffing ratios
• Assist with and support procedures performed on the unit including C-sections, cerclages, and tubals
• Document patient care accurately using Meditech EMR
• Float to postpartum unit as needed
• Collaborate with in-house OB hospitalists, neonatology, respiratory therapy, pharmacy, lactation support, and OR/OB techs as part of a multidisciplinary care team

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum 2 years of experience in Labor and Delivery specialty
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications
• Intermediate level or above Electronic Fetal Monitoring (EFM) certification

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with Meditech EMR
• Familiarity with OB Trace fetal heart monitoring system
• Experience caring for high-risk antepartum and OB emergency room patients
