RESPONSIBILITIES

Job Specific Competencies:

Performs MRI procedures as indicated in the procedure manual.
Performs other related imaging procedures producing images for interpretation by a physician.
Demonstrates knowledge and ability to assist with checking patient into the Radiology Department for testing.
Maintains a safe environment.
Correctly uses facility communication systems.

Provides quality customer service to staff, patients and visitors at all times.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

High school diploma or GED
Graduate of the committee of Allied Health Education and Accreditation (CAHEA) accredited radiography program

Experience:

None required for staff position

Certification/License:

AART certification in MR or OJT training to become registered with the ARRT
Must become registered with the ARRT within 1 year of training start date
Maintains credentials in good standing
BLS required

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

Knowledge of anatomy and physiology in order to perform MR testing
Knowledge of imaging equipment
Good verbal skills
Basic computer skills
Ability to use computerized information systems
Skill in establishing and maintaining good working relationships

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Work is normally performed in an interior/office or workshop environment. Routine office noise, exposure to chemicals, hazardous material/waste, blood and body fluids.
