Location: Reno, NV

Contract Details
  • Position Type: Contract
  • Contract Duration: 12 months (with potential for extension depending on workload)
  • Pay Rate: $32.00 / Hour (USD)
  • Shift / Schedule: Monday Friday, 8:00 AM 5:00 PM (1st shift); flexibility required to work outside standard hours (as early as 5:30 AM or until 6:00 PM 7:00 PM) to support a 3-shift operation; shift adjustments will likely be set for specific days such as Tuesdays and Thursdays
  • Travel Requirements: Candidate must be prepared to walk the production floor
  • Work Authorization: Applicants must be authorized to work for ANY employer in the U.S. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa at this time.
Job Summary

As a Human Resources Generalist , you will play a key role in supporting various aspects of the HR function, including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, and HR administration. You will assist in implementing HR policies and procedures, providing support to employees and managers, and contributing to the overall effectiveness of the HR department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the recruitment and onboarding process, including job postings, resume screening, scheduling interviews, and conducting background checks.
  • Support employee orientation and training activities, ensuring new hires are equipped with the necessary information and resources.
  • Assist in the administration of HR programs and initiatives, such as employee benefits and employee recognition programs.
  • Assist in support for employee inquiries and requests regarding HR policies, procedures, and benefits, providing guidance and assistance as needed.
  • Maintain accurate employee records and documentation, ensuring compliance with legal requirements and company policies.
  • Assist in conducting employee relations activities, including investigations, conflict resolution, and disciplinary actions.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Prepare and distribute HR-related communications.
  • Assist on special projects as needed, including support of the ongoing continuous improvement framework; data audits; participate in safety and operations audits and initiatives.
  • Proactively implement positive employee engagement strategies and initiatives to drive improvement in morale and retention.
Required Skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with employees at all levels of the organization.
  • Basic understanding of HR principles, practices, and regulations.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS software.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must be bilingual in Spanish and English.
Preferred Skills
  • Knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
  • Experience with HRIS implementation or administration.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Manufacturing experience is considered a plus.
Education Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or Business Administration (required)
  • MBA or Master's of Human Resources (preferred)
Required Experience
  • 1 5 years of experience in Human Resources
  • Experience in a fast-paced environment; ability to work independently
Work Environment / Physical Requirements
  • 100% on-site position in Reno, NV; Monday through Friday
  • Flexibility required to work outside standard 8:00 AM 5:00 PM hours to support a 3-shift operation; candidate may need to arrive as early as 5:30 AM or remain until 6:00 PM or 7:00 PM on specific days (e.g., Tuesdays and Thursdays)
  • Candidate must be prepared to walk the production floor
  • Must own and wear steel-toed shoes (reimbursable)
Important Notes
  • The interview process involves vendor pre-screening, followed by an on-site skills assessment with the HR manager and the plant manager.
  • Being bilingual in Spanish and English is highly beneficial; however, the site will review English-only candidates if sourcing challenges persist.
