May include measuring, cutting, assembling, and bolting structural framing and solar modules. In this role, you will be part of a crew that is responsible for installing solar systems on residential homes.Job Responsibilities:Work with a team to install the racking system and solar panels on residential roofsStructurally mount racking and electrical equipment and effectively seal penetrationsPerform routine photovoltaic (PV) system maintenance on modules, arrays, batteries, power conditioning equipment, safety systems, structural systems, weather sealing, or balance of systems equipmentEnsure proper job documentation is completed once the job installation concludesInteract with customers, answer and direct questions as neededRead and review blueprints and plan documentsInstall racking systems and modules, run conduit and wiring on roofsApply weather seal, such as pipe flashings and sealants, to roof penetrations and structural devicesConfigure electrical wiring of the solar system (AC and DC) per plans and local codes.Test operation or functionality of completed workStructurally mount racking and electrical equipment and effectively seal penetrationsDemonstrate knowledge of OSHA standards related to photovoltaic installations and enforce safety practices and standardsCertified OSHA/OSHA10/30 preferredAssisting with other duties as assigned by Crew Lead and/or Regional Operations ManagerRequired Qualifications:Education Requirements:Must be at least 18 years of age.High school diploma or equivalent, or Technical/trade school training in solar or electrical systems is preferred.Required Skills:1 year of residential solar experienceAbility to safely handle power tools and materials such as: ladders, inverters, solar panels, panel boards, batteries, and other similar electrical equipment, lumber, roofing materials, etc.Excellent analytical and problem-solving skillsAbility to perform all installation duties of the Installer and Lead InstallerElectrical/PV Installation Knowledge: Working knowledge of current NEC codes. Ability to interpret single-line drawings and PV systems from roof to meter.Demonstrates knowledge of electrical principles as it pertains to solar interconnection/tie-in and code and how PV systems operate.Understands interconnection activities. Understands basic construction principlesSafety: Adheres to company safety policies and procedures including ability to identify and report safety hazards, and the ability to encourage others to work safelyAbility to understand or have experience in Electrical Panels including Sub Panels (MBD derate, conduit bending, relocating circuits, etc.)Adheres to company safety policies and procedures including ability to identify and report safety hazards, and the ability to encourage others to work safelyLayout and assembly of solar modules / array and mounting hardwareMust be able to successfully pass pre-employment screening requirements (A valid Driver's License and clean MVR are required to drive company vehicles.)OSHA PreferredPhysical Requirements:Ability to work within the safe range of equipment such as ladders, fall protection harnesses and other personal protective equipmentAbility to withstand heights, be on roofs, and climb ladders (Daily)Ability to lift 50-75+ lbs. routinely (Daily)Ability to work in 0-100+ degree weather, as well as in wet and dry conditionsAbility to move around for prolonged periods. standing, kneeling, bending, Squat and climbing ladders (Daily)About Us:Our World Energy is one of the nation's fastest-growing solar energy companies, specializing in residential and commercial solar panel installation.
