Registered Nurse (RN) - PCU

Registered Nurse – Pulmonary Thoracic

Schedule: 12hr Nights, 7P - 7A Schedule Varies

Assignment Details:

• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 Weekly

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years of recent experience within specialty
• Required: AHA BLS & ACLS
• Preferred: NIHSS

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Provide nursing care for intermediate medical patients, including those with high-risk respiratory and cardiac thoracic concerns.
• Monitor and manage patients post-surgery, including hepatobiliary and head/neck surgeries.
• Administer respiratory support as needed, including RA, BIPAP, or Optiflow therapies.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to optimize patient outcomes in the step-down unit.
• Document patient care and progress according to facility standards and protocols.
• Maintain a safe and compassionate environment for patients and their families.

Compliance / Notes:

• Must work 2 major holidays of the 3: Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, New Year's Day, and 1 minor holiday: The Friday after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, New Year's Eve.
