Position Overview


We are seeking a motivated, customer-focused Retail Sales Advisor to join our team. In this key role, you will be the primary point of contact for customers, guiding them through the entire flooring journey-from initial consultation and product selection to accurate measuring, estimating, installation scheduling, and final walkthrough. This is more than a sales position; it's a hands-on opportunity to build trust and deliver complete solutions that transform homes.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet and consult with customers in our showroom, helping them select the right flooring products based on lifestyle, budget, and design preferences.
• Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of flooring materials, including hardwood, carpet, LVP, tile, and installation methods.
• Conduct on-site measurements at customer homes or job locations with precision and professionalism.
• Prepare accurate material and labor estimates, utilizing strong math skills for calculations involving square footage, waste factors, and pricing.
• Create and present professional proposals, clearly explaining options, costs, timelines, and next steps.
• Schedule and coordinate installations with our trusted installation teams, ensuring smooth communication throughout the process.
• Walk customers through every stage of their project, from selection to final inspection, providing exceptional service and addressing any questions or concerns.
• Maintain showroom displays, stay current on new products and industry trends, and actively follow up with leads to close sales.
• Build lasting customer relationships and generate referrals within the Murfreesboro community.

Qualifications

• Experience : Previous experience in flooring sales, home improvement, or retail sales strongly preferred. Familiarity with various flooring products and installation processes is essential.
• Skills :
  • Strong mathematical aptitude for accurate measurements, estimating, and pricing.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a genuine desire to help customers.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects from start to finish.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for in-home measurements.
• Personal Attributes : Detail-oriented, trustworthy, organized, and professional. A positive attitude and team-player mindset are a must in our family-oriented environment.
• Education : High school diploma or equivalent required; additional training or certifications in flooring or sales a plus.
