Shift Details:

• 8.00am - 4.30pm

Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) Duties & Responsibilities:

• Assess patients' psychosocial, behavioral, and mental health needs and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Provide individual and group counseling to address emotional, behavioral, and social concerns.
• Monitor patient progress and document assessments, interventions, and treatment outcomes.
• Conduct crisis intervention, suicide risk assessments, and behavioral health evaluations as needed.
• Collaborate with physicians, psychiatrists, nurses, counselors, and correctional staff to coordinate patient care.
• Assist patients with coping strategies, problem-solving skills, discharge planning, and access to community resources.
• Provide support for substance use, trauma, family concerns, and other psychosocial needs.
• Respond promptly to mental health crises and significant changes in patient behavior or condition.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with facility and regulatory requirements.
• Ensure compliance with Virginia DOC policies, confidentiality standards, professional ethics, and security procedures.
• Provide compassionate, patient-centered social work services while promoting safety, rehabilitation, and positive outcomes.

Minimum Qualifications

• Current, valid, and unrestricted VA license/certification in good standing, as required for the position.
• Minimum of 1+ year within the last 3 years of recent experience as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
• Copy of current, completed Primary Source Verification (PSV) from the appropriate licensing board or verification agency, if required.
• Copy of all current required certifications and compliance documents
