Job Summary:
A Medical Surgical Oncology Nurse is needed in Cincinnati, Ohio. This role involves caring for patients actively receiving stem cell therapies and participating in clinical trials within a 16-bed or 14-bed inpatient unit. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day of employment.

Job Details:

• Position Description: PLEASE READ FACILITY FIXED NOTES FOR MORE DETAILS - Experienced medical oncology nurse needed for 16-bed/14-bed units that take care of patients actively receiving stem cell therapies and clinical trials. ONS Chemo (Oncology Nursing Society Chemotherapy) Certification Required or ONCC Chemo-bio (Oncology Nursing Certification Corporation Chemotherapy-Biotherapy) Certification preferred.
• Clinical Experience: A minimum of 2 years of registered nursing experience in Med Surg (Medical Surgical), telemetry, PCU ( Progressive Care Unit), BMT (Bone Marrow Transplant), or inpatient oncology is required.
• Electronic Medical Record: Must have EPIC EMR (Electronic Medical Records) charting experience.
• Travel Nursing Experience: At least 1 year of travel nursing experience is required.
• Certifications: ONS Chemo Certification is required. ONCC Chemo-Bio certification is preferred.
• Schedule: Nights shift, 36 hours per week, or 3 - 12-hour shifts. Every other weekend shift.
• Float: Expected to float to other equivalent units as needed, including medical/surgical floors.
• Unit Description: Inpatient BMT/Oncology unit with 16 beds or 14 beds, specializing in BMT, stem cell therapy, chemotherapy, and clinical trials.
• Patient Ratios: Typically 1:3-4.
