**Amazon Warehouse Equipment Operator****Job Overview**You'll be part of the Amazon warehouse team as an equipment operator - operating order pickers, reach trucks, forklifts, and other powered industrial trucks (PIT) to handle customer orders safely and efficiently. You'll use PIT equipment tounload and load trailers, store pallets, and retrieve pallets throughout the warehouse. No prior experience required-Amazon provides all PIT training and certification for free.**Basic Job Requirements**1. Be 18 years or older2. Understand and follow instructions in English3. Lift up to 49 pounds4. View prompts on screens and follow direction for some tasks5. Stand, walk, push, pull, squat, bend, and reach during shifts6. Use carts, dollies, hand trucks, and other gear to move items around7. Go up and down stairs (where applicable)8. Work in an environment with varying temperatures and moving PIT equipment9. Operate PIT at heights up to 45 feet as part of daily work**What You'll Do**1. Operate PIT - such as order pickers and reach trucks2. Use PIT to locate, retrieve, and store large pallets of items in their designated warehouse locations3. Handle large pallets of items through multiple warehouse processes, such as store and pick, while operating PIT4. Operate a stand-up forklift throughout your shift, maneuvering safely around other PIT equipment in motion5. Safely move items using carts, dollies, and pallet jacks while loading and unloading trailers6. Use handheld technology to track and maintain accurate inventory records7. On hot days, temperatures can exceed 90°F and on cold days temperatures can reach below freezing.2. **Noise level.** It can get noisy at times. We provide hearing protection if you need it.3. **Dress code.** Relaxed and comfortable. Closed-toe shoes required.
