As an Armed Patrol Officer at a retail location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, respond to security-related concerns, and provide exceptional customer service. This driving post requires a valid driver’s license and Level III Armed Certification. Position Type: Part Time Pay Rate: $17.25 / Hour Job Schedule: Mon 11:00 AM - 05:00 PM Tue 11:00 AM - 05:00 PM Sat 11:00 AM - 05:00 PM Sun 11:00 AM - 05:00 PM What You'll Do: Provide customer service to clients, shoppers, and store personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities. Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating with store leadership and emergency services as needed. Conduct regular and random armed patrols of the retail store, parking areas, loading areas, and surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns. Monitor access points, observe customer and employee activity, and report suspicious behavior, hazards, and policy violations according to site procedures. Prepare clear and accurate incident reports and maintain professional communication with store personnel, customers, and Allied Universal leadership. Minimum Requirements: 21+ Years of Age Active Armed Guard Card/License Valid Driver's License - AU Driver Policy Requirements A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements. Be at least 21 years of age. Possess a Level III Armed Certification in Texas. Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Participate in industry-specific security training programs. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
