Sit-Down Forklift Operator

Location: Plant City, FL

Pay: $18.00/hour

Schedule: Monday - Friday | 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM

Express Employment Professionals is currently seeking an experienced Sit-Down Forklift Operator for a growing building materials company in Plant City. This position is ideal for someone who is confident handling large, bulky materials and has experience loading and unloading flatbed trucks in a fast-paced warehouse or yard environment.

Responsibilities:

Safely operate a sit-down forklift to move, stage, and transport building materials throughout the warehouse and yard.
Load and unload flatbed trucks while ensuring materials are properly balanced, secured, and handled safely.
Transport oversized and heavy products, including lumber and other construction materials.
Pull and stage customer orders for shipping and delivery.
Inspect incoming and outgoing materials for accuracy and damage.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Follow all company safety policies and forklift operating procedures.
Assist with general warehouse duties as needed.

Qualifications:

Minimum 2 years of recent sit-down forklift experience.
Experience handling large or oversized building materials is strongly preferred.
Previous experience loading and unloading flatbed trucks is highly preferred. Loading flatbed trucks requires careful attention to load balance and secure placement to ensure safe transport.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work both indoors and outdoors as needed.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety.
Reliable transportation and excellent attendance.
