Does this position require Patient Care? Yes Essential Functions Providing lactation assessment, planning, education and instruction to patients and family -Identifies and aids in resolution of breastfeeding difficulties, develops care plans with staff to meet individual patient's needs and provides follow-up consultations -Offering post-delivery consultative care to patients: breastfeeding/Chest feeding, family bonding and planning -Evaluating patient's response to care and initiates independent and/or collaborative changes where appropriate -Coordination and management of care for patients, including those with complex needs -Provides information and education regarding breastfeeding to maternity and NICU staffQualificationsEducation Associate's Degree Nursing required or Bachelor's Degree Nursing preferred Can this role accept experience in lieu of a degree?
