The Registered Nurse (RN) focuses on safe and effective patient and family-centered care. Customer satisfaction and quality outcomes are prioritized. The RN is responsible for assisting in maintaining a financially stable unit. Promoting personal development with an emphasis on evidence-based practice and education is essential. The RN supervises licensed and non-licensed staff members. Applying the caring processes of the model of care is crucial. The RN has the responsibility to assess, develop, implement, and evaluate the plan of care. The RN focuses on patient and family comfort, education, and satisfaction. The RN applies educational and professional experiences in the delivery of quality care. Mentoring and precepting staff is also a key responsibility. Job Responsibilities: Performs assessments and reassessments as warranted by patient condition. Demonstrates the ability to make sound independent decisions. Initiates, prioritizes, and implements the plan of care. Reviews and revises the plan as indicated. Collaborates with patient and family as well as interdisciplinary services. Utilizes resources appropriately to support the needs of the organization and the patient. Monitors and documents response to clinical interventions. Facilitates, coordinates, provides, and evaluates education specific to patient and family needs. Delegates tasks to licensed and non-licensed personnel. Functions as a mentor and preceptor. Demonstrates, encourages, and facilitates teamwork. Identifies and communicates opportunities for improvement appropriately. Participates in quality, safety, and service process improvement efforts. Implements practice changes and complies with regulatory standards. Participates in the governance model.
