Paramedic

ED ParamedicProvides direct patient care within the level of training as a paramedic on patient population of neonatal, infant, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients. Performs in the hospital setting under the direct supervision of registered nurse or physician as credentialed by the hospital Medical Executive Committee. Performs other unit specific duties as assigned.Key Responsibilities:Performs as Paramedic in the Emergency DepartmentParticipates in process improvement for the department assignedPerforms patient-focused careParticipates in activities designed to improve health care deliveryCompletes assigned goalsStays current on all licensure and certificationsQualifications:Education: High School Diploma or equivalentCertification: Current BLS, ACLS, PALS certification from American Heart Association or American Red Cross PHTLS (Pre-hospital Trauma Life Support)Licensure: Current, valid EMCT Paramedic Certification through the state of ArizonaExperience: One year experience as a ParamedicPreferences: Previous hospital-based experience
