Position Details Intensive Case Manager – Intensive Mental Health Unit (IMHU) – Maine State Prison in Warren and DHHS in Rockland. Opening Date: May 29, 2026 – Closing Date: June 11, 2026. Job Class Code: 5042; Grade: 23 (P&T); Salary: $49,275.20–$69,139.20 per year; Position Number: 03000‑4376; Location: Rockland. The position is full‑time and not eligible for visa sponsorship or STEM OPT extensions. Core Responsibilities Provide professional services in intensive case management for a high‑risk mental health client group in the IMHU at Maine State Prison. Collaborate closely with internal and external professionals, advocating for and assisting clients in accessing and maintaining medical, psychiatric, behavioral health, substance use, and housing services upon discharge from the IMHU. Stay current on statewide Section17 services and the processes for accessing resources. Navigate the criminal‑justice system and its intersections with behavioral health services and corrections. Minimum Qualifications Associate’s Degree in Social or Behavioral Sciences + 4 years professional mental‑health experience **OR** Bachelor’s Degree in Social or Behavioral Sciences + 2 years professional mental‑health experience **OR** Master’s Degree in Social or Behavioral Sciences. Equivalent work experience may substitute education on a year‑for‑year basis. Must hold or be eligible for a Mental Health Rehabilitation Community Certification (MHRT/C) issued by the Muskie School of Public Service or a Social Work License (LSW).
