Environmental Health Safety Specialist

An industry leading organization in the industrial manufacturing industry is seeking an Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Specialist in the greater Chelsea, MI area. This role is responsible for supporting and improving workplace safety, regulatory compliance, and environmental health initiatives within a manufacturing environment. This role partners closely with operations and site leadership to drive a strong safety culture, deliver training programs, support audits, and lead continuous improvement initiatives. Responsibilities Promote a positive safety culture through employee engagement, floor presence, safety training, and continuous improvement initiatives Conduct safety audits, inspections, incident investigations, root cause analysis, and risk assessments Administer EHS training programs, onboarding, compliance tracking, and safety documentation systems Support OSHA/regulatory compliance, emergency preparedness activities, and environmental health & safety reporting Partner with site leadership to implement proactive safety improvements and maintain audit readiness Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Industrial Management, Business, or related field 4+ years of EHS experience in a manufacturing, industrial, or production environment Knowledge of OSHA regulations, safety programs, incident investigation, and risk assessment processes Experience conducting training, audits, inspections, and maintaining compliance documentation OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification preferred #J-18808-Ljbffr
