Atlantic Region Central Billing Office (ARCBO) The Atlantic Region Central Billing Office (ARCBO) provides business office services including billing, collections, cash posting, pre‑access management, variance, and customer service to affiliated Universal Health Services hospitals. Job Title Appeals Specialist Responsibilities Resolve all appeals relating to technical issues identified during the billing of claims. Follow up on clinical appeals performed by facilities. Work with HIM and facility clinicians to correct deficiencies in a timely manner; identify problem accounts and trends and escalates as appropriate. Work with insurance companies to secure payment on account balances outstanding. Document patient accounts with actions taken to resolve issues. Meet productivity standards and departmental goals and objectives. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. 1–3 years of appeals experience preferred. Familiarity with healthcare business office processes preferred. Strong Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, Outlook). Customer focused both internally and externally; strong attention to detail; ability to multi‑task; excellent written and oral communication skills.
