Responsibilities
- Administer prescribed ionizing radiation per treatment prescriptions and verified charts
- Verify patient identity, explain procedures, and communicate during treatment sessions
- Deliver the prescribed daily dose while observing radiation safety for patients and staff
- Prepare treatment room and immobilization devices, position patient on the treatment couch, and attend to patient comfort and needs
- Monitor patients during treatment for unusual reactions or complications and report findings to the supervisor and treating physician
- Maintain daily treatment records and patient charts; ensure accuracy of blood counts and related reports
- Provide clinical supervision and guidance to students or trainees as assigned
- Adhere to department protocols and safety standards throughout all procedures

Requirements
- Certification: Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in Radiation Therapy (R.T.(T)(ARRT)) and applicable state RTT certification; fluency with state-specific licensure as required
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in radiologic technology or equivalent (Master’s degree preferred)
- Experience: At least two years of recent experience in radiation therapy or radiologic technology
- Licenses/Certifications: Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification; CPR may be accepted depending on policy
- Equipment/EMR: Experience with a Varian TrueBeam linear accelerator and Mosaiq EMR preferred
- Additional: Ability to work in a hospital setting; strong communication skills; dependable, team-oriented, and detail-focused
