Client: New York State Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation (OPRHP) Job Title: Project Manager Duration: 36 Months Location: Albany, NY Hours Per Week: 40 Hours Interview Type: Onsite/Webcam

Responsibilities:

• Managing large, multi-functional IT projects using Agile, Waterfall and Hybrid methodologies;
• Developing project schedule (including sprints), key milestones and project checkpoints;
• Tracking project risks, issues, and deliverables throughout the life of a project;
• Tracking performance against the project baseline;
• Ensuring quality communication across diverse project teams;
• Providing weekly project status updates;
• Facilitating project meetings and communicating with diverse stakeholders;
• Managing project tasks and activities of Subcontractors (as applicable); and
• Ensuring all deliverables are met on time, within the budget and conform with specified requirements on completeness and quality.
• Developing and maintaining project resources log, decisions log, risks log
• Conducting Sprint management: collaborating with the team to define the sprint goal, select backlog items to work on, and plan the work for the sprint. Ensuring that the product backlog is prioritized, well-defined, and ready for the upcoming sprint. Facilitating Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Review and Sprint Retrospective meetings. Prioritizing and refining the backlog.

Required/Preferred Skills:

• 10+ years of experience managing large-scale IT and web application development projects.
• Strong expertise in Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, and Hybrid project management methodologies.
• Experience developing and managing project plans, schedules, milestones, sprint roadmaps, and deliverables.
• Proven ability to track and mitigate project risks, issues, dependencies, and maintain RAID logs throughout the project lifecycle.
• Skilled in facilitating Agile ceremonies, including Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and reporting skills, including executive-level status updates and cross-functional team coordination.
• PMP, Scrum Master, or equivalent project management certification preferred, with experience ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meeting quality standards.
