Contract | Night Shift | 12-Hour Shifts | Onsite | Every other weekend and every other holiday required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a Level 3 Trauma Emergency Department treating approximately 40 patients per day, with nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:4–5 based on acuity
• Manage a mixed patient population presenting with diagnoses including abdominal pain, diabetes, NSTEMI, pneumonia, trauma, stroke, and hypertension
• Administer and monitor standard ER medications and drips; interpret and read telemetry strips independently (no monitor tech on unit)
• Perform and document Point of Care lab testing following facility training
• Collaborate with support staff including unit techs who assist with triage, unit secretary duties, and floor support; coordinate with RT available 24/7 for breathing treatments and ABGs
• Float throughout the assigned zone, which covers a 60-mile radius from the zone's city center, as operationally required

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license valid in the state of Colorado
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS, and TNCC
• Ability to independently read and interpret telemetry strips
• Must be present in state for the full week of orientation, even if initial modules are completed remotely
• Must reside at least 60 miles from the facility's zone city center to be eligible; driver's license must be submitted for verification
• Must be able to float throughout the full 60-mile zone radius regardless of personal housing location

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior experience in a fast-paced emergency department or trauma setting
• Familiarity with ER holds intermixed within the general ED environment
• Experience working without dedicated monitor technicians and managing telemetry independently
