Pay Rates

• LPN: $29/hour

• RN: $32/hour

Amergis Healthcare Staffing is seeking compassionate and dependable LPNs and RNs to support students with medical needs in a school setting. This role offers flexible scheduling and the opportunity to make a direct impact on students participating in special education programs, vocational workshops, and community-based learning experiences.

Position Overview

We are hiring nurses to support students with medical needs, including seizure disorders, diabetes management, and other chronic health conditions . Nurses may provide coverage within schools, accompany students to workshops that teach life and vocational skills, and attend field trips to ensure students can safely participate in community activities.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care and health monitoring in a school setting

• Manage students with seizure disorders, diabetes, and other medical needs

• Accompany students on field trips and community outings

• Support students attending special education workshops focused on life skills and vocational development

• Provide PRN coverage for school nurse absences, PTO, and call-outs

• Document care appropriately within PowerSchool

• Communicate effectively with school staff, families, and healthcare providers

Schedule

This position begins as Part-Time / PRN with opportunities for additional hours.

Workshop Coverage:

• Monday, Wednesday, Friday or Tuesday/Thursday

• Typical hours: 8:00/9:00 AM to 1:30 PM

Additional Coverage:

• School nurse call-outs

• PTO coverage

• Student field trips and special events

Qualifications

• Current LPN or RN license

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program

• Current CPR certification

• One year of nursing experience preferred

• Ability to work independently in a school environment

• Must meet all state and contract requirements
