Research Engineer

About The Role As a Research Engineer at OmniBuds, you will work hands-on with our ear-worn sensing platform, helping design experiments, collect high-quality physiological data, analyse signals, and build research prototypes. Location Nashville, USA Department Research, Algorithms & Engineering Employment Type Full-time What you’ll do Design and run physiological sensing experiments and data-collection sessions. Collect multimodal PPG, acoustic, IMU, temperature, and reference data. Develop Python tools for data collection, synchronisation, visualisation, and analysis. Analyse signal quality, physiological patterns, variability, and artefacts. Prepare and quality-check datasets for algorithm development. Build research prototypes and simple signal-processing/ML pipelines. Work closely with our research, hardware, firmware, and clinical teams. What we expect Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Data Science. Good Python and data-analysis skills. Hands-on, curious, and comfortable with experimentation and wearable sensing. Ideally, existing authorization to work in the United States.
